Our Silicone Rubber

Ecoflex Series

Super-Soft, Addition Cure Silicone Rubbers

Ecoflex rubbers are platinum-catalyzed silicones that are versatile and easy to use due to their one-to-one mixing ratio. And you can cure them at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. Its low viscosity ensures easy mixing and de-airing. Or you can choose to mix and dispense using dispensing cartridges. This cured material is certified skin safe and is very soft, very strong, and very stretchy. It can stretch many times its original size without tearing. And it will rebound to its original form without distortion. Ecoflex is also easy to color and has a low viscosity, which plays into its stretchiness.

Use Ecoflex for its skin safe FX applications. It is perfect for making fast skin safe appliances for cosplay and special effects, as well as cushioning for orthopedic and orthotic devices. And it offers great mobility if using for animatronics, where repetitive motion is needed. Use it for lifecasting, too.

Ecoflex rubbers are water white translucent. So the color can be pigmented with Silc Pig pigments to help create a variety of cool color effects. Get Ecoflex is different hardness depending on the application you are using it for. Check out our selection of Ecoflex products below.

Smooth-Sil Series

Platinum Cure Silicone Mold Making Rubber

Smooth-Sil Platinum Silicones offer good chemical, heat and abrasion resistance. Users can use various materials, like plasters, concrete, wax, low-melt metal alloys or resins to cast into silicone rubbers without using a release agent. Smooth Sil 940, 950, and 960, which we sell, are food safe grade silicones that are suitable for making baking molds and trays, ice trays, casting butter, chocolate and various other applications that are used to produce food.

These silicones cure at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. And it is a versatile material, because you can choose from different hardnesses. Which means you can use it to make production molds of both small and large configuration. Check out our selection of Smooth Sil Silicone Rubbers below.

Mold Star Series

Easy to Use Silicone Mold Rubber

Mold Star silicones are able to cure soft, strong rubbers which are tear resistant. They also show low long-term shrinkage. When you make production molds with Mold Star, they will last a long time in the mold library. The Mold Star Series silicones are good for casting wax, gypsum, resins, and other materials. Any cured Mold Star rubber is heat resistant up to 450°F (232°C). This makes it suitable for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys. However, it is important to note that Mold Star rubbers are not intended for brush-on mold making.

Mold Star Series rubbers are easy to use since they offer a one-to-one mixing ratio. So, no weighing scale is necessary for precise measurements, even at a very low mass. These rubbers cure at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. Since Mold Star silicones feature low viscosities, it makes vacuum degassing optional and not required for many applications. When you have a uniform flow, it will help to minimize entrapped air.

From fast to slow, get mold star silicones of all types. The fast material offers a 6-minute pot life and a 30-minute cure time and can even be used in forensics to capture evidence impressions in the field! Whereas the Mold Star slow has a pot life of 50 minutes and a cure time of 4 hours at room temperature. This product will not cure against surfaces that contain sulfur, even when sealed.
